Adoption
We understand that deciding to create an adoption plan for your child is an incredibly personal and challenging decision—and it may not be the right fit for everyone. However, pursuing adoption can be a beautiful, selfless act of love that gives your child the opportunity to grow up in a stable, secure, and nurturing family. If you decide that an adoption plan is the best path for you and your child, Boys & Girls Aid is here to fully support and uplift you both before and after your baby is born.
You are not alone.
When you choose to create an adoption plan with Boys & Girls Aid’s Supportive Adoption Program, you’ll have a compassionate and experienced team by your side, guiding you through every step of the process.
Through working with Boys & Girls Aid’s Supportive Adoption Team, you have access to:
Comprehensive Financial Assistance: We help with living and medical expenses during pregnancy to help ease financial stress and ensure your well-being.
Meaningful Emotional Support: We understand how difficult it can be to navigate the adoption process. Your all options-counselor is ready to be a confidant, sounding board, and advocate for you at every stage of the process and will provide you with comfort and reassurance every step of the way.
Open Adoption puts you in control.
Boys & Girls Aid’s Open Adoption process empowers you to decide how much or how little involvement you want to have in your child’s life. By creating an adoption plan with our team, you can maintain a meaningful connection with your child without needing to take on the responsibilities of becoming your child’s primary caregiver.
You choose your child’s adoptive family. Your all-options pregnancy counselor will help you pick the perfect family for your child from our diverse pool of waiting families. Click here to meet some of our families looking to adopt.
You can maintain a relationship with your child. You have the option to request that your chosen adoptive family stays in touch by sending photos and updates. You can even arrange visits with your child after birth.
You can opt for a closed adoption. You can always choose to have no contact with your child or their adoptive family.
Make Your Decision With Confidence
If you are still weighing your options or are unsure if creating an adoption plan is the best choice for you, we encourage you to get in touch with one of our all-options pregnancy counselors.
Our counselors are experienced and equally supportive of all choices—adoption, abortion, and parenting—and are here to help you make an informed decision that aligns with your values and needs. Boys & Girls Aid has no ulterior motives and will never attempt to steer you toward any particular outcome. We will only discuss the choices you want to explore and ensure that you feel confident and supported in whatever decision you make.
